I love institutions that do not require a presentation deck to justify their existence.

The Warsaw metro is one of them. It does not pretend to be a philosophy. It just gets a large number of people where they need to go with more dignity than most organisational change programmes.

Reliable systems have a quiet moral force. They reduce friction. They return time to people. They let the day proceed without turning the user into a petitioner.

Maybe that is why I trust good transport more than clever slogans.

Pressure changes shape. The work remains.
