There are days when modern life feels like an elaborate mistake and then you go to Hala Mirowska.

Not because it is quaint. Not because it turns Warsaw into a postcard. Because it still contains the old, useful logic: produce, rhythm, bargaining, repetition, people who know what they are selling and customers who know what a good tomato should smell like.

Every city needs spaces that are not trying to optimise your soul. Just let me buy fruit, bread, herbs, flowers and a little confidence in human continuity.

For fifteen or twenty minutes, the whole system feels less absurd.

Pressure changes shape. The work remains.
